Experience a dawn dolphin boat ride, snorkeling and scuba diving and local cultural tours in northern Bali. Lovina Dolphin Ecolodge provides a great base for exploring the unique north coast habitat and cultures of the island. Nestled on Lovina’s tropical hillside, this quiet spot looks over trees to a glimpse of the blue sea and is only a few minutes from the beach where you can take a local outrigger at dawn to watch up to fifty dolphins.
There are three species of Dolphin in this area (Spinner, Spotted and Bottlenose). The most common is the Spinner. Dolphin watching and getting up close with these beautiful creatures is an experience worth having. Around March, hump backed whales have also been seen in the area. A short walk from the lodge takes you to a pretty waterfall, and a short trip by car or motor scooter takes you to hot springs. The ancient palm leaf archives of Balinese kingdoms can be seen at Singarajas archives building. Small restaurants abound along the beach where corals and colourful reef fish have been protected in certain areas where you can snorkel. There are dive facilities available in the area. Lovina Dolphin Ecolodge is a 5-minute drive from the city centre and a 15-minute drive from Banjar Hot Spring. It is a 20-minute drive from Singaraja town and a 2.5-hour drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Lovina can be easily explored with the transport services or dolphin-watching and trekking trips provided. The property also has a free-use internet corner and free parking. Offering all-day dining, the restaurant serves a variety of local and Western dishes. There is a 24-hour self-service bar with soft drinks and beers.
